Greater Bay Area Chapter of the AFSA

The Greater Bay Area Chapter of the American Fire Sprinkler Association serves a wide region, covering Sonoma County to San Luis Obispo County, Fresno County, and everything in between.
By getting involved with the GBA Chapter, you stay informed about regional developments affecting your business. Our local events and charitable contributions, such as charity golf tournaments, help raise public awareness and support the community.

We actively advocate for positive fire safety regulations in state and local legislatures while monitoring potential legislation that could negatively impact merit shop contractors.

Our chapter brings news, events, initiatives, and training opportunities directly to the local level, providing valuable resources to our members. Additionally, we offer excellent networking opportunities with industry leaders and manufacturer/supplier associates.

TRADE SHOWS

The Greater Bay Area Chapter has actively participated in several trade shows across California, including the Sac Valley Trade Show in Lincoln, CA, and the California Fire Chiefs Association event in Buellton, CA. Additionally, we host an Oktoberfest Manufacturers Presentation in Livermore, CA.

These events provide opportunities to connect with local contractors, manufacturers, distributors, and authorities having jurisdiction. Our goal is to promote the American Fire Sprinkler Association and highlight the benefits it brings to the merit shop fire protection industry.

CHAPTER MEETINGS AND

CA CEU CLASSES

The Greater Bay Area Chapter primarily holds online meetings, with members having access to past meetings in the members-only section of our website.

During these meetings, you can hear from speakers on state legislative issues, local AHJs on city and county regulations, fire protection manufacturers presenting new and improved products, updates from the Local Chapter Board of Directors, and much more.

Additionally, we hold CEU classes to help fitters in California maintain their licenses through the AES Fitter Certification Program. We also host designer-specific seminars to provide targeted training and updates for fire protection system designers.
